Veljko Culafic is a Project Manager at Rakita doo Bor in charge of permitting for its Cukaru Peki copper and gold project. Mr. Culafic has over 10 years of mining industry experience in various management roles at different stages of exploration and mine operations in North America, Africa, and Europe.
Prior to joining Rakita, Mr. Culafic worked with Freeport McMoran as part of the team on the Cukaru Peki project, as well as on supply chain for Freeport’s mine operations in the US. Before working for Freeport, he was the country manager for a gold exploration project in western Africa. Earlier in his career, Mr Culafic served as the head of operations and business development for a mining focused logistics company and an iron ore exploration project in the Republic of Congo.
Mr. Culafic has an MBA from W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and MS in International Development from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.
