Ivan Jankovic

Assistant Minister
Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia

Born on September 4th, 1979, in Belgrade. Graduated on the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Mining and Geology in the year 2006. Since 2017 he is an Acting Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia.

In period 2006-2013 he was engaged as an expert associateat the Faculty of Mining and Geology. During his engagement as the expert associate, he created and participated in the creation of a large number of Projects, Studies and Elaborates in the field of exploitation of mineral deposits.

Ivan Jankovic is a PhD student at the Faculty of Mining and Geology. He also participated in the creation of 15 Scientific Papers of international importance, as well as on three scientific research Projects financed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development.

Since 2013 he is employed in the Ministry of Natural Resources, Mining and Spatial Planning, and as of the year 2014 he continued his work in the Ministry of Mining and Energy.

Ivan was the member of the expert team for the Preliminary Design of the Recovery Plan of the surface mine Tamnava – Western Field in the Kolubara Mining Basin, and he was the person in charge of the monitoring of the implementation of the Contract for the Creation of the Program for exercising the Strategy of development of the Energy Sector of the Republic of Serbia, as well. He is a member of the Working Group for the Determination and the Certification of Mineral Reserves, Oil and Gas in the Republic of Serbia, member of Working Group for the Implementation of JADAR Project and the President of the Commission for State Professional Exams in the Field of Mining, also.
