Dr. Rade Jelenkovic received a Master of Mineral Deposit Exploration degree (1982) and a PhD (1987) degree in Geological Sciences from Faculty of Mining and Geology, Belgrade University, Republic of Serbia. He is currently a full professor (Ore Deposits, Metallic Mineral Deposits, Genesis of Ore Deposits, Prospecting of Ore Deposits, Metallogenic Analyses and Prognostic Maps of Mineral Deposits) and the Chief of Department for Economic Geology at the Faculty of Mining and Geology, Belgrade University. He was elected as a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of Serbia in 2004, and as a Full Member of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of Serbia in 2012. Dr. Rade Jelenkovic is a Secretary of Sеction for Economic Geology of the  Serbian Geological Society.

Dr. Rade  Jelenkovic has 30 years experience in the field of metallic mineral deposit assessment and metallogenetic analyses of Serbia, including various professional associations within the Ministry of Energy and Mines, Ministry of Science and Technological Development and Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, Ministry of Natural Resources, Mining and Spatial Planning of Republic of Serbia.

Dr. Rade Jelenkovic has authored more than 160 scientific papers, 12 monographs and books, 59 scientific studies, projects and reports of geological exploration (Cu-Au, Pb-Zn, U etc.), as well as 'Elaborates of Ore Reserves' (Serbian Resource & Reserve Statements). As Head of the Ore Reserves Committee of the Republic of Serbia (2004-2009; 2013- present ) and a member of the Committee (2010-2012) he has audited more than 250 national projects and reports of geological exploration and 'Elaborates of Ore Reserves'. Previous tenures include the Serbian National Geological Institute "Geoinstitut-Belgrade", where he has served as a field geologist (1983-1986).
