Dejan Kovacevic

Gornji Milanovac Municipality

Dejan Kovacevic was born in Gornji Milanovac on June 6, 1979. He finished elementary and secondary school in Gornji Milanovac, and industrial management in Krusevac. After graduation he started working at company „Wrigley`s“ and after that at DDOR Novi Sad for 10 years, first as an insurance acquirer and as a branch manager from 2010.

Since 2012. he has been a branch manager in the city of Kragujevac covering three cities and ten municipalities.

On the head position of the Serbian Progressive Party in Gornji Milanovac he was since its foundation. He has been a member of  the Municipal Assembly Parliament in Gornji Milanovac since 2012 and a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia since 2014.

Also, he was Economy Committee  member, Security service member and Representative of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly in Strasbourg.

 At the suggestion of the coalition "Aleksandar Vucic - Serbia wins", he was elected to be a president of Gornji Milanovac Municipality on May 12, 2016.

He is the recipient of the award of the national recognition of "Captain Misa Anastasijevic" for improving the economic and social environment in the Region,  in two consecutive years in 2017 and in 2018 as well as the distinguished award "Golden Key of the Danube Region" at the 8th Danube Business Forum held in Novi Sad in 2019.

 Married, father of one child.
